About me

I was born in 1980 in Halle an der Saale, Germany, where I spent my childhood and youth. At 18, I moved to Marburg an der Lahn to study American Studies, Media Studies, and (Media) Education. Part of my studies took me abroad to Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.

During my studies, I gained hands-on experience in radio and television, both in the USA and Germany. I’ve worked at Radio WUTK “The Torch,” MDR 1 Radio Sachsen-Anhalt, and for many years at ZDF in Düsseldorf.

After graduation, I moved to Bavaria. From 2006, I worked in Augsburg for a media agency and later a production company – as editor, project manager, and voice artist. This period shaped me professionally and personally.

I have had the great fortune of having studied voice with Barbara Volland. Besides, Gabriele Lange, Stephan Dewes, Sonnja Helfrecht-Riedel, Sabine Appelhagen as well as Michael Zimmer and Andreas Schnell taught me how to use my voice as a wonderful tool and reinforced my rhetorical skills.

In 2013, I moved to Finland for nine years. One year after arriving – and following parental leave – I became self-employed. Since then I work full-time as a German voice-over artist for customers worldwide. I also enjoy passing on my knowledge as a speech and voice coach. Nowadays, I'm based in Augsburg again.
